Decorate the classroom or home with this lovely, colourful Year of the Rat poster - and celebrate the new Chinese New Year!

These lovely writing frames - blank and lined - show off Chinese lanterns in all their glory! When they have finished writing, the kids could colour them in using orange, pink, red, purple ... all the colours of Chinese New Year.

This simple dot to dot drawing of a cheeky rat has the numbers from 1 to 28 in a largely oval shape. Children could join them first with a pencil and then go over them with a black marker or crayon before colouring in the picture.

Practise handwriting with this fun Year of the Rat handwriting worksheet, which takes children through the proper formation of the letters from stage to stage and then provides a blank line for them to try it on their own.
