Remembrance Day is a time for poetry. We remember those that have fought for us and those that have fallen with the poppy, which became a symbol of remembrance because of the poem, In Flanders Fields:

These new posters are full of winter scenes, animals and birds we associate with winter, cosy winter clothes and fireplaces and hot chocolate, and action packed winter activities like sledding, skiing and skating!

Our "famous person" of the week this week is Queen Boudicca, brave Celtic queen of the 1st Century who rebelled against Roman rule - and was surprisingly successful, until her ultimate defeat by the much more skilled, better equipped Roman arm
