The Enid Blyton Estate is urging children to get outside and be more adventurous this summer after a study found that children’s summer holiday habits reveal less adventure and imagination, time outdoors and fresh air compared to their parents&rsq
Sarah and I have been reliving our childhoods over the last week, rediscovering our love of Enid Blyton's wonderful stories!
In just a few days, on 1st July, Canada celebrates its national day. So this morning I've been making some new printables with the colours of the red and white flag and the maple leaf - and the odd beaver too!
I've been designing with the old red, white and blue this morning, creating a new set of Fourth of July bunting as well as posters and colouring pages - the latter designed to work as fun placemats for your picnics and parties.
Rounding off our Family topic, today I've added some of our popular finger tracing, word tracing and handwriting worksheets for all these family words: baby, brother, sister, cousin, aunt, uncle, father, mother, grandfather, grandmother.
For each "topic" we've got three levels of counting worksheets - and they are fun to do! Count seaside pictures, minibeasts, sea creatures or farm animals, with more on their way soon.
We've been having a bit of fun with these new pattern worksheets. We've done two versions of each - one in black and white and one in colour.
There's something really special about receiving a card that's been given a little extra care and love - and that's why we have so many colouring cards on Activity Village!
I've been working on this new idea for quite some time now and our household is absolutely hooked! So it is with great pleasure that I introduce our .... Doodle Pattern Tiles!
I've just added 20 new cat-themed activities to the website, including new puzzles, new printables, new colouring pages and new worksheets.
I didn't come up with this idea, and I didn't design these pages, so I feel it is OK to say how much I love these new picture gallery printables!
Cheer up the classroom and provide your own sunshine with these lovely bright new number and alphabet printables.
Ahoy you salty sea dogs! The HMS Adventure is in need of sailors! Are you ready to brave treacherous waters and mutinous crews for the promises of treasures untold?
More for our colour topic! You can mix and match these colour worksheets with our colour booklets, or print out the whole set of 12 and work through them as you learn the colours.
We love our little origami booklets and have built up quite a collection over the years! New on the site today are these "colour booklets" for all the main colours.
Now that there is such a thing as Sun Awareness Week (5th to 9th May 2025), I thought it might be useful to round up our Sun Safety activities for you.
More Family printables! I've just added six new "newspaper writing prompts" which can be used by the kids to write about their own family members, or perhaps for some creative writing.
Add a cup of this and a sprinkle of that, a pinch and a teaspoon and a drop of something else - stir it all together and what do you get?
Late - but hopefully not too late!
